About Us
Founded in 1986, the Bayside Residents Association Non Profit (BRA) unites our Miami community, with deep roots in the Bayside Historic District. Settled in the late 1800s as part of Lemon City, Bayside grew through four subdivisions—Elmira (1909), Acadia (1915), Baywood (1921-1924), and Washington Place (1925)—blending Frame Vernacular, Mediterranean Revival, Art Deco, and Streamline Moderne styles.
Our volunteer board of residents collaborates with neighbors, the City of Miami’s Historic Preservation Office, and local businesses to preserve this legacy. From pioneer families like the Millers to prominent figures like Arthur Patrick Cannon, Bayside’s history inspires us to foster a thriving, connected neighborhood we all cherish.
